The Furuno GP170 is a GPS navigator is a highly stable that feeds positioning information to AIS, Radar, VDR, VideoPlotter, Autopilot, Echo Sounder and Sonar. The designed GPS chip and antenna deliver enhanced stability and precision in position fixing. Noise rejection capabilities are incorporated in the new receiver, delivering anti-jamming function as well as a high level of tolerance towards multi-path mitigation.

The GP170 consists of an antenna and display unit. The display unit is a 5.7" silver bright LCD, offering optimum viewing around the clock. It has a variety of display modes including Plotter, Course, Highway, Data and Integrity.
